Furniture Repairing
Loose joints, broken stretchers, split tops, lifting veneer, a pedestal that will not sit still. Structure comes first. A piece has to stand before it earns a finish.

Antique Restoration
We keep the original surface wherever enough of it survives. Where wood is missing we replace it in matching timber and tone it in, rather than painting over the join.

Chair Caning
Cane, rush, splint and Danish cord, all woven by hand. A cane seat runs in six directions before the binder goes on: about eleven hours at the bench, and decades of use afterward.

Custom Furniture
Pieces built to fit a room, a doorway, or a set you already own. Most often that means a table sized to a family, or a cabinet made to stand beside something inherited.

Hand-Rubbed Refinishing
We strip by hand and never dip-tank. Shellac, oil and wax go on in thin coats, cut back between each one, until the surface reflects the room instead of throwing back the light.
